The Position -
The Symicor Group is seeking to fill a Bookkeeping Department Manager role in the Vero Beach, FL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining bookkeeping operations according to bank's policies and procedures.

Bookkeeping Department Manager responsibilities include:
Balancing and overseeing the reconcilements of the General Ledger entries, which includes research of out of balance items in all settlement accounts, etc.
Handling the entire process of Cash Orders for Branches, which involves submitting branch currency order/shipment requests. Balancing the GLs of Branch Cash on a daily basis.
Providing input to the development of product strategy and researching and development of new and emerging products. Creating and maintaining all product types in core system, creating and modifying disclosures.
Completing monthly internal Demand Deposit Account reconcilements, researching and correcting variances as needed.
Reviewing work of bookkeeping staff and overseeing the Management of Bookkeeping Operations.
Serving as backup for each employee to cover vacations and unplanned time off.
Inputting and coordinating the Wire Transfers process, setting up Wire Transfer Agreements and overseeing that all procedures are handled in accordance to the agreements.
Uploading, closing, preparing distributions and contributions for IRA's .
Submitting appropriate reports to Internal and External Auditors, as well as any Examination request letters.
Reviewing and updating policies and procedures,
Providing branch and support staff training,
Training and ensuring all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Design software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Human Resources systems; Payroll software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
