Job Description
Summary:
The Cook II assists the Cook I and the Chef on Duty in the daily production and fabrication of food products for cafeteria, banquet, Dining Room and Fine Dining Room.
Job Description:
Responsibilities for this Position:
Monitor production and quality levels of all food products.
Monitor incoming food product to insure quality.
Train, develop and maintain employees skills and relations.
Monitor all refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation.
Develop and maintain ongoing education programs for sanitation and safety.
Checks daily production sheets and check with Executive Chef as to daily work needs.
Assist in any area of the kitchen as needed.
Requirements:
Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
Strong technical skills.
Strong organizational skills.

Excellent listening skills.
Excellent safety and sanitation skills.
Technical Requirements:
Knowledge of current culinary trends.
Ability to prepare a variety of cuisine, using skill and creativity.
Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
Fine dining experience.
Experience at 4-5 star level properties.
Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of experience.
Educational Requirements:
High School degree or equivalent.
2 or 4 year formal culinary training.
